Important conference for disabled young people returns to Peterborough
The Transition Event is returning to Peterborough to discuss the future of young adults with additional needs living in East Anglia.
The Transition Event East conference and exhibition provides support and advice to parents, carers and professionals who support disabled young people.
The CPD-certified conference and FREE exhibition, taking place on 15th November, is open to anyone involved in supporting young adults with disabilities. Schools are also encouraged to bring along their students to visit the extensive exhibition.
The Transition Event East, organised by Care Choices in association with My Family, Our Needs, has expert speakers to discuss the main issues disabled teenagers and 20-somethings face when growing up. Topics include education, health and care plans, employment, housing and education.
Interactive workshops exploring benefits, technology and volunteering, will allow young people and those who support them to find out more about these important subjects.
Alongside the conference, the free exhibition includes products, services and local organisations who work to support young people with special educational needs.
The Transition Event East is taking place at the Holiday Inn, Peterborough West, on Wednesday 15th November.
A limited number of discounted conference tickets are available for parents and reduced tickets are also available for parents. The exhibition is free to attend.
